  • Carpool decal must be displayed in the passenger side front window.
  • When picking up your child, please STAY in your car. Do not get in line and then come in the building – you will be blocking the entire process!
  • If you are carpooling and picking up children from other families, you must have your family decal and the other family’s decal displayed in the window.
  • All parents should expect to arrive no later than 3:40 p.m. Staff members working carpool will leave their posts at 3:45 p.m. Any parent arriving on campus after that time will need to park and go into the Upper School (Driveway B) to pick up their child.  The adult picking up the child MUST be listed on the Emergency Procedure Card and MUST be present a PICTURE I.D. before we will release the student.  There will be NO exceptions to this rule.
  • Any child not picked up by 3:45 p.m. will be placed in the After-School Program and the parent will be charged Drop-in Rates of $15 per day.
  • When leaving the campus – RIGHT TURN ONLY.
Safety first
  • Always have children exit the passenger side of the car.
  • Only drop-off students at the designated drop off areas
  • Drive A – Side Entrance of Upper School (you will drive up the drive-way and make a U turn to come down the lane and the child(ren) unload from the passenger side.
  • Drive B – Main Entrance of Upper School
  • Drive C – Back Entrance of Lower School
  • Do NOT allow your child to get out of the car and other locations and travel through traffic.

Other
  • Parents will need to have a talk with their child(ren) and explain that when their carpool number is displayed, he/she must move quickly to their designated pick-up location. Do not stop to have a conversation; do not stop to go to a locker; do not stop to go to the restroom. The parent waiting for that child to get out, is blocking everyone behind them.
  • Afternoon pick-up WILL BE FRUSTRATING for a few weeks.
  • It will run smoothly if everyone follows the instructions.
  • When exiting the campus, turn RIGHT only. Travel up New Forsyth Road and take the first left into the Bass Pro Shop driveway. Turn left and come out with the light at McDonald’s on Bass Road.
  • Screaming at the staff member or volunteer who is standing out in rain or temperatures as high as 98 degrees, will not get your child out any faster.
  • Screaming at another parent is not going to get your child out any faster.
  • You may think you have the best plan in the world for dealing with our afternoon traffic – we’ve already thought of that. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Department and the County Engineers have thought of that. WE HAVE A PLAN THAT WILL WORK IF EVERYONE COOPERATES.
