As of the 2022-2023 school year, COVID absences will be treated like all other absences. A student must have a COVID test result from his/her doctor to excuse the absences.
If a student tests positive for COVID, regardless of vaccination status, they should:
- Stay home for 5 days.
- If they have no fever or symptoms after the 5th day, they may returned to school.
- Upon returning to school, a mask must be worn around others for the next 5 days.
If a student has been exposed to COVID but have not had the vaccine within the last 6 months, they should:
- Wear a mask around others for 10 days.
- Test on day 5. If positive, OR if any symptoms present, stay home following the above protocol.
