Softball

Please welcome our new varsity softball head coach, Andrew Claxton. Originally from Wrightsville, GA, Coach Claxton has been a part of the ACE family for the past two years.
Before his coaching career began, he played two years of baseball at East Georgia State College where he won the 2015 GCAA Defensive Player of the Year Award. Coach Claxton brings many years of diverse experience as an assistant varsity baseball coach for two years and a varsity softball head coach for 5 seasons posting an overall 70–59 record, and making the state playoffs 4 out of 5 of those seasons.
While coaching varsity softball, Coach Claxton finished his Bachelor’s Degree in Business at Middle Georgia State University and his Master’s degree in Special Education at Valdosta State University.
Andrew Claxton and his wife Allyson Claxton have been married for 11 years. His wife, Allyson Claxton has been a registered nurse at The Medical Center for the past 5 years. They have 2 children: Adeline Claxton who is in the 5th grade at ACE and Aren James Claxton who is three years old.
