Cross Country (Boys & Girls)
Head Coach: Julia Resendiz
Coach Resendiz is originally from Dublin GA, where she graduated from East Laurens High School. She graduated college from GMC and Georgia College with a Master's in physical education. She has coached cross country for 4 years and soccer for 5 years. She has also coached volleyball and track. She has taught at public and private schools in Dublin, Milner(Griffin) and Forsyth and is currently teaching PE/ Yoga classes at ACE. She is married to David Resendiz and the two are expecting a baby boy in January 2026.
She is super excited about coaching and teaching at ACE this year!
Coach Lea Anne Walters
Lea Anne Walters is in her 6th year with the Gryphons Cross Country team. This is her 18th year teaching, and she has been teaching Jr. High Chorus and Musical Theatre at ACE for 9 years. An avid runner, Mrs. Walters has completed multiple marathons including the Boston Marathon in April of 2023. Coach Walters attended Mercer University where she received a Bachelor's in Music Education and a Master's in Choral Conducting. Her favorite runners to follow are Sara Hall, Deena Kastor, Emma Coburn, and Meb Keflezighi. Her family includes her husband, Jamie Walters, JD (8th Grade), Watson (6th grade), Katie Rose (3rd), dogs, Happy and Barney, and their cat Tabi.
